December 18, 2006 - Yesterday our club suffered a terrible loss--Mary Hoyt passed away of a sudden heart attack. She was a friend and mentor of many in the poultry fancy and she will be painfully missed by all who knew her. Memorial services have been scheduled for this week instead of after Christmas. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

There will be a rosary at 6PM Wednesday the 20th at Chapel of the Roses. Address: 3450 El Camino Real, Atascadero, CA 93422.

Thursday the 21st will begin with an 11AM viewing at Chapel of the Roses, followed by a mass at 1PM at St. William's Catholic Church (address: 6410 Santa Lucia Rd, Atascadero, CA 93422).

There will be a graveside service immediately following the mass, and after the graveside service the family invites everyone to their restaurant, Hoover's 101 Cafe at 6900 El Camino Real in Atascadero.

October 26, 2006 - Thank you to everyone who helped make our 21st Annual Show a success! Show results and photos will be making their way online soon as soon as I obtain the good photos from our show Photographer. First things first, however--we had several items (and a couple of birds) left at our show floor on Sunday, and we want to get them returned to the right people. Please check the Lost & Found page for your lost items and call to identify them.

October 4, 2006 - IMPORTANT UPDATE! - The entry deadline for our 2006 Show has been extended to Wednesday, October 11. The previous deadline was October 9, which as it turns out, falls on Columbus Day (USPS holiday). Stay tuned for updates to the Show Catalog very soon!

September 3, 2006 - The online Show Catalog is now up and entries are officially open! Keep watching for updates to the catalog over the coming weeks until the show.

August 25, 2006 - Our September Poultry Sale will be on Saturday, September 16th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Templeton Feed & Grain in Templeton. This is usually our biggest sale of the year, so if you're looking for birds, come check out the selection on Saturday, September 16th! In show-related news, the 2006 catalog will be mailed out before the first of September. I will have the online version of the show catalog up and running around the same time, so watch this space for the announcement!

June 27, 2006 - Our July Poultry Sale is happening this Saturday, July 1st at 9:00 AM, at Farm Supply in San Luis Obispo. See you at Farm Supply on Saturday!

May 1, 2006 - The judges for our Twenty-first Annual Show have been confirmed, and the Show Info page has been updated accordingly. Also in this update, the Show Calendar has now been updated through the remainder of 2006. It seems that people are finding this calendar quite helpful, so I'd like to keep it accurate and complete. If there is any show I do not have information for/have incorrect info for on the calendar, please email me with the correct info.

February 20, 2006 - The site has been updated with a partial calendar of shows in the western United States. This list includes all APA/ABA sanctioned club shows and several fairs that I have been given information for. Currently, only shows through July 2006 are on the Show Calendar; I will get the rest of the year online shortly.

February 19, 2006 - Our first Poultry Sale of the year happens 9:00AM Saturday, April 1st, 2006 at Templeton Feed & Grain in Templeton. Come check out the variety of beautiful and practical poultry for sale, and help support Central Coast Feather Fanciers! We will (tentatively) have two more Poultry Sales this year, one in mid-July and another in mid-September. More details as those sale dates approach.

January 5, 2006 - The dates and location for our Twenty-first Annual Show in October have been confirmed and added to the Show Info page. Mark your calendars!
