September 1, 2007 - A new show has been added to our Calendar page and to the Upcoming Local Events section of the front page: the Santa Barbara County Fair Double Benefit Show on September 22. Also, information for the Pacific Coast Bantam Club/Inland Empire Poultry Club Joint Double Show on December 1-2 has been updated on the Calendar and front pages. Finally, all links to the upcoming Bakersfield Fancy Feathers Club/Golden Gate Bantam Club Joint Double Show November 10-11 have been updated to reflect the BFFC's new web site. Stay tuned for the CCFF 2007 Online Show Catalog to go live very soon!

July 29, 2007 - Our website has just completed a move to a new server, so thanks for bearing with us if you experienced downtime recently, although the transition went pretty smoothly. IMPORTANT: If you have our website bookmarked, please make sure the URL your bookmark directs to is http://centralcoastfeatherfanciers.com. Make sure it DOES NOT direct to http://www.uweb.ucsb.edu/~sspotten, as our site is no longer hosted on that server! Secondly, in show-related news: we have a block of rooms reserved for a reduced price at a host motel this year. See the Show Info page for details. Please note that due to limited motel space in Paso Robles, you must reserve your room at least one month in advance to get a discounted room! Last item for this update: I have added a new link to the APA/ABA Youth Program website on the Links page.

May 18, 2007 - We WILL be having a July Poultry Sale this year, and it's happening at Nipomo Feed & Ranch Supply on Saturday, July 21, beginning at 9:00AM and ending at noon or when we sell out. We will again be having laying hens at this sale; they will be about 2 1/2 months old this time. Mark your calendars, and get there early for the best selection!

May 15, 2007 - You may have already noticed--we have a new look for the CCFF website! Along with having fixed a few minor errors around the site, the main update for today is the launch of the Photo Album page. This update includes some new photos from our very successful Poultry Sale on April 21st. Thank you to everyone who donated birds to the club to sell; thank you to everyone who came out to help with the sale; and, thank you to all who supported our club by purchasing birds at the sale! If you could, please leave some feedback in the forums about the photos, about the sale, and about the site's new look.

April 22, 2007 - Today marks the launch of a new site feature (or rather, a grand experiment): the CCFF Official Message Board. Anyone may read through the forums, but you must register to be able to post. I hope that the forums become an active, useful and beneficial aspect of this web site. The initial idea was to invite some involvement from CCFF members scattered across the state and beyond who perhaps can't make it to monthly meetings, and also to encourage new membership with the exchange of information I hope to see on the boards. Above all, have fun with it!

March 12, 2007 - PLEASE TAKE NOTE! Our show dates have been pushed back one weekend to October 13 and 14, 2007, due to venue circumstances beyond our club's control. It may be wise to plan far ahead if you're thinking seriously about coming and book your motel room now. There are always wine festivals, horse shows, and other large events happening throughout October in the Paso Robles area, but never enough lodging to go around!

February 21, 2007 - Our first poultry sale of the year will happen on April 21, at Templeton Feed & Grain from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. In addition to fancy breeds and varieties, we will also have a large stock of 4-month-old laying hens. The laying hens are always popular, so get there early to get yours!

February 5, 2007 - The Western States Show Calendar for the year 2007 is online (finally). Please pass the word along to anyone looking for show information! Also, if you spot any errors or if there are revisions to the information I have listed, please email me so I can keep this calendar as accurate as possible.
