Christmas is just around the corner, and so is the annual CCFF Christmas party! Join us for a potluck dinner and white elephant gift game on December 21, 2011 at 6:30 p.m., at the Bullock residence in San Luis Obispo. Several members of CCFF traveled to Indianapolis, IN for the 2011 Crossroads of America Poultry Show, which was held on October 28-30, 2011 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.  There were 10,276 birds shown, and a great time was had by all.  Check out our photos of the Crossroads show in the slideshow below, or, if you choose, you can view the full album on Picasa Web Albums.  These photos were taken by CCFF members Christina Stead, Barbara Bullock, Tami Clark and Amanda Clark.

Our Links page had gathered some dust and more than a few broken links over the last couple of years.  It has now been through a major "fall cleaning" so that it reflects the most current websites for the listed organizations as of November 23, 2011, and has also been updated with quite a few new clubs we didn't have listed before.  Any club listed that does not have a link associated with it is a club I could not find a current website for, but did not want to delete from the list in case the club is still solvent.  You can help our effort to curate the most complete North American poultry breed club listing on the Internet by reporting new club websites or broken links to ccfeatherfanciers@gmail.com.

Our events calendar has been updated with show dates and locations in the Western U.S. for the remainder of 2011 and beginning of 2012. Big thanks to Chris Tamayo for keeping this list of shows current!  More dates will be added to our calendar as information becomes available.

Our annual summer lawn show and potluck meeting at the Stead residence has been moved to Saturday, August 20 at 5:30 p.m.  Please bring a dish for the potluck and your new hatches or any other birds you want to show off!  Drinks will be provided.

PLEASE NOTE!  This month's meeting will not be our annual lawn show.  The meeting will now be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16 at Brooks Woodcraft in San Luis Obispo, located at 2087 Santa Barbara Road.  Please bring a dish for the pot luck!  We will also be working on awards for our October show.

We've posted a few photos from our 2009 CCFF show this past weekend. Thank you to all who came out to the show; hope you had a wonderful time!
